FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OPTIONS AT FINAL TOUCH BARBER ACADEMY
Pursuing a barbering career can be financially challenging, but Final Touch Barber Academy offers financial aid options to eligible students. As an accredited school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, we provide federal financial aid to students enrolled in our Barber Program, Barber Crossover Program, and Barber Teacher Program. In addition, alternative financial aid options are available. To initiate the process, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility. Even if you do not intend to utilize federal financial aid, submitting the FAFSA is often necessary for other financial aid opportunities.
TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE
Federal Aid
Title IV funding provides a variety of grant and loan options. Some financial aid options require repayment, while others do not. The most common federal aid options include:
•Pell Grants
•Direct Subsidized Loans
•Direct Unsubsidized Loans
•Pell Grants are the most common grants and do not require repayment. Subsidized and unsubsidized loans require repayment, with subsidized loans offering interest-free repayment for those meeting specific criteria. Unsubsidized loans require interest repayment, but are available to all students, regardless of financial need, providing a viable option for funding barbering education.
FEDERAL AID APPLICATION PROCESS
To evaluate your eligibility for federal aid, initiate the process by completing the FAFSA. This cost-free application provides crucial information that simplifies the enrollment process. 1. Complete the FAFSA We recommend submitting the FAFSA as soon as you plan to pursue post-secondary education, including barbering school. You can complete the application entirely online or through their mobile app. First, determine your dependency status. You are considered independent if you: Are over 24 years old Are married Have dependents receiving more than half of their support from you Are currently serving on active duty in the U.S. armed forces Are a veteran Meet other requirements set by the Federal Student Aid Office As an independent individual, you do not require parental information to complete your application. If you are considered a dependent student, you will need your parent's tax and income information to submit your application.
